The first book lacked World Building and was simply confusing. If I hadn't already downloaded this second book, I would never have continued.This book did give some necessary history and background on the World and the characters. It introduced more action and some other supernaturals. But there was still something missing for me, because I just couldn't connect with the characters of the romances.
At least there was (unlike the first book) some resolution at the end. However, the ending does leave things open for future books.

The conclusion to the ArcKnight Chronicles is written with better continuity than the first half, providing me with a well written and intriguing story of the characters that Alexia has created. There is much more detail in this half, and I was able to know much more about the characters and what was happening. I loved where the story went and how she concluded it. There was plenty of action and mystery. The conclusion of the story is very much in the style that I have come to love in Alexia's books. She is a good writer and has wonderful stories to tell.
Very good book need the second book
Truly kept reading this story from the very beginning right up until the very end. It kept me guessing what would happen next. Highly recommend reading this series in order.
Terrific sequel to the ArcKnight Series! If you haven't yet read books 1 & 2 you should definitely begin there as this picks up where book 2 left off (which left me biting my nails). ;)
As usual Purdy did not disappoint! Sovereignty brings much more interaction with the gargoyle shifters as well as my very favorite ArcKnights & MarkTiers. These characters sure make up an aggressive team. Every page had me rushing to the next! The questions keep coming as well as the packs are uncovering newly found information from their distorted pasts. Who authorized the hiding of facts & "rewriting" of their pasts, & just how altered were these untold stories? That's what I needed to find out!!!!
Then there's Lily who is in a very difficult place fighting for her soul with Malia (an ancestor) attempting to magically overpower her from within. Every decision, every move ... more crucial, more critical than the last. The Kelhan pack is truly not one to be trifled with yet Lily & Ephrem make their stand within all the chaos that surrounds them. The action & suspense is entertaining enough but add in the magically delicious bits & you have a masterpiece I could not put down. I am definitely looking forward to more! Here's hoping we will see more of this world in the near future as I am not ready to say goodbye to this realm or it's beloved characters!
Can't wait for book 3. Want to see what happens with Lily and her husband. Would also like to see what happens with her sister and her husband.
